Day 5 "The Magic Kingdom"

Christian mid-roller coaster ride....proof that he deffinitely DIDN'T like it!

So, we saved the best for last... well I guess that's debatable given everything else we've done this week! Disney's Magic Kingdom was FANTASTIC! We did everything we wanted to, and then some! We rode all the rides with a max wait time of 20 minutes. We met TONS of characters not the least of which being Captain Hook and Mr Smee, Woody and Jesse, AND Princess Ariel, and FINALLY.... Cinderella!!! She was super cute, and we were so relieved to have met all of the Princesses, so our trip could be complete! :-)

Jaden rode Splash Mountain with me... it turns out he is quite the Dare Devil... no one else would ride it with me, and he wanted to do it again and again! Jessi even rode the Haunted Mansion ride and came through with flying colors... she had her face buried in my shirt the whole time and sat on my lap... we had a running conversation about all of the fun things we had done and were going to do and everything she could tell her teacher about what she had done, and she made it through. Jaden also rode that ride and WOULD NOT close his eyes. I told him he could, but he said he didn't want to. What a little stud muffin. As a treat for riding the Haunted Mansion we took the kids on "It's a Small World" next. Jessica had been waiting our whole trip for that one ride. ( apparently her teacher had told her all about it, and she couldn't wait! ) She was sad when that one was over, but quickly got over it when we rode "Cinderella's Golden Carousel".

Christian went on his first Roller Coaster in Toon Town, and didn't like it. He was so excited that he was finally tall enough for something, and then I think he regretted being 36 inches tall! He said it went too fast and it was scary.

We rode Buzz Lightyear's Ride, where Jeff earned the title of Galactic Hero for all of his exceptional shooting! It was made even more impressive by the fact that he was shooting with his left hand, steering the car with his left hand and holding a sleeping Christian with his Right Hand. WOW!!!

Courtney rode Space Mountain twice and wanted to keep going! Space Mountain is her favorite Roller Coaster ever, I think. She really liked Thunder Mountain Railroad, too.

We ended the evening with the Light Parade and then a really spectacular fireworks display behind Cinderella's Castle! What a GREAT VACATION!!!! Today we are off to Sea World, and then Downtown Disney so I can get my Christmas Ornament and my Magnet... maybe a new Hot Chocolate mug.... I guess we'll see... I know, I know the suspense must be killing you, but you'll just have to wait and see!
